Poppy Delevingne is a British sassy girl known to be the life of the party, but Poppy isn’t the only catchy thing this model and actress has! From celebrity sister like Cara Delevingne to a CEO of a British aviation company as a husband, she is also taking steps in the interior design world.
The couple had decided to take up their residence cosy, family-friendly house on a chic blossom-lined street in Shepherd’s Bush, a residential neighbourhood in West London. They opened their house to Architectural Digest and we are in love, and tottaly wanting to move with them.
Alex Tart was the architect responsible for the renovation, that included relocating the central staircase, raising some ceilings and lowering others, and even digging down and out into the garden to excavate space for Poppy’s study. This process wasn’t easy and like in all renovation, the positive mid and thought of the final outcome were crucial.
Once all the complications of the renovation were over—and the roof was in place—the couple turned their focus to decorating the interiors with the help of London-based designer Joanna Plant. The couple met Plant at an outdoor music festival that takes place in the English countryside every summer. And their relationship started in a fun place and reflect through all the renovation process. We can see in every room, the aesthetic she followed. You fell that “grown-up fun,” which started with the bar because, well, that’s always when the fun begins.
One of the biggest Inspirations for the couple decor was their love for travelling, You can see James personality in the sitting room, with glossy walls and velvet curtains, inspired by hotels from Paris, the vibe was intended for the couple to feel that french mysterious and naughty. For Poppy, her ”It” Room is the small powder room on the ground floor, this room was from floor to ceiling the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel banana-leaf-print wallpaper. Poppy told AD she loved peoples reaction to their house and how fun and wild it was.
A lot of couples have to negotiate a lot while remodelling their homes, and they weren’t an exception, however, Poppy choose a room that was non-negotiable; her bedroom. Since a little girl, she dreamt of an all pink Bedroom and however James not being so convinced at the begging now he loves the calming and cocoon-like feeling the room transmits, especially in the winter.
