KEEP AN EYE ON… INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECTS DONE RIGHT BY FK PROJECT MANAGEMENT
First things first… For those of you who don’t know H2, they are a London-based interior design firm. But not your regular design studio… The founder Jonny Horsfield “established the H2 design studio in London during 1994.” For the first few years, they focused their work on yacht refit projects, going on to creating their own projects and concepts from scratch only some years later. Today, they are known for being refit design experts and one of the most sought-after yacht design studios.

Named Turquoise, this 2011 yacht (the one you can see in the first picture) was bought in 2013, and with it came a plain interior that did just not match its new owner’s personality. In fact, being that plain and simple meant the new owners were in possession of a blank canvas that could be transformed into whatever they desired. The challenge? Turning this stunning yacht into a “seven-star service with a warm and luxurious interior that would work for families as well. Timeless elegance so that the yacht would not date overnight.” Thus, enter H2!
The result was a unique interior design project filled with high end furniture and rich colors that take us into a world of luxury and sophistication. The plan designed by H2 involved an improvement of “the use of rooms and decks, as well as creating a more comfortable and glamorous atmosphere,“ as they state on their website.
The main saloon was transformed into an art deco-influenced bar. A simple, yet glamorous color palette creates a sense of warmth, comfort and, above all, finesse. It couldn’t fit the yacht decor concept any better.
Finally, in the master cabin – or bedroom, if you prefer it – you can sense a feeling of light and depth, achieved by the cutting of a large hole in the original design of the cabin. Again, rich colors and materials were used to create a sense of luxury throughout the design. “The dressing space itself gained even more light through backlit onyx and mirrors,” explains H2 on their website.
