HOLMRIS B8’s ultimate goal is to create unique room designs that provide new opportunities in a sustainable way for their clients. To think differently, make mistakes, see new opportunities, and exploit them are some of the biggest values when challenged with a brand new inspiring project. This incredible mid-century modern hospitality project might be one of our favorite interior design projects created by this incredible design studio. After opening in 2017, the hotel was nominated for an award for the best hotel concept by the Dutch magazine Entré!

Founded in 1914, the HOLMRIS B8 is one of the most famous design studios in Europe regarding the sustainable design concept, which is starting to be one of the biggest trends in 2020. Their team of bespoke furniture experts is focused on creating unique solutions that safeguard the environment and give people the best possible conditions to thrive.
Considered as one of the best furniture experts in Denmarks, these experts are moved by a keen passion for design and the entrepreneurial spirit upon which the company was founded 100 years ago. They stand on a foundation of unique experience and know-how that when combined with the latest furniture trends and tomorrow’s technologies, create some inspiring projects.

In 2017, the whole hotel was renovated with the help of HOLMRIS B8 and the new interior design completely changed the character of the hotel, including the 60 rooms, restaurant, bar, lobby, and breakfast area. This unique space was transformed from an old movie theater theme to a flamboyant art deco inspired style from the 1920s that reflects censored movie scenes. The unique interior design of the breakfast area, called ‘Little Cannes’, pays tribute to the film festival with its exclusive marble interior with golden details.

For this unique mid-century modern project, HOLMRIS B8 close collaboration with the LBG hotel chain, who owns the MABI City Center Hotel, and the interior design firm Inter/Alter, they were able to create one of the most inspiring hospitality projects that we have ever seen. They have delivered all the unique furnishings, carpets, fixtures, lighting as well as accessories.
