For the first time, the Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal (AICEP) will be present at Tent London, one of the most recognized fairs when it comes to design. The agency is responsible for organizing the participation of Portugal in the event, which takes place between 22 and 25 of September.
Altogether, there are 25 companies that will head to London to present their projects, ranging from pieces of cork and burel to works inspired by the Schist Villages. One of these companies will be the Jans Concept, a project of Isilda Pelican that bet on textiles manually worked and inspired by the Nisa region, in Alentejo.

Some of the pieces presented by Jans Concept are designed by André Teodósio and João Borlido, IADE students. The participation of students is the result of a partnership established between the university institute, Jans Concept and the Museum of Embroidery and Nisa Barro, according to what IADE explains in a statement.
The complete list of these companies Tent London is composed of: &Blanc, Adico, Alba, Aldeias do Xisto, André Teoman, BlackCork by Sofalca, Branca Lisboa, ByFly, Corque Design, DAAO Concepts, Emotional Objects, Galula, Gencork, GUR, Jans Concept, Leitão & Irmão, Maria João Bahia, O Céu, OJEAM, Piurra, Rui Tomás, Serip, SPAL, Two.Six and Wewood.
