Pierre Charpin is a guest of honor in the world of design, he displays the perfect balance of minimalism and poetry, resulting in the creation of outstanding, artistic pieces. In the world we live in today it becomes impossible to not be versatile, especially in the world of creation. Designers need to be nomads and adapt to every trend and, for that reason, we decided to enable these Important Lessons From Pierre Charpin at Maison et Objet Paris 2017 !
Drawing is Everything
Charpin mentioned in yesterday’s conference that, drawing is probably one of the most important creation steps. Design is often a representation of our ideas, and there’s no better way to deliver it through drawings. A great project needs thousands sketches.
Communication first
Interior designers will need to work with clients, and sometimes architects and other professionals, so there’s no way a good project can come up without good communication. Charpin works with several other artists and shows great respect for their work, of course sometimes opinions are different but with communication everything is solved and most of the times, you’re heard.
Understand the Market
Like in every industry, if you don’t know your market and your audience you will not make it to the top. Design is about creating experiences and history through objects, and there’s nothing more important than listening to your public and provide the best solutions.
Pierre Charpin also mentioned his preference for marble, aluminium, plastic and glass in his designs. He is a fan of diversity, the designer‘s work is especially recognized by the variety of shapes and colors, making him one of the most incredible designers in the world.
