It has been a month since Molteni&c and Dada – that belong to the Italian interior design group Molteni – opened a new Concept store in Milan. The wonderful interiors of this store – that also acts as an exhibition space – have been designed by the renowned Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen.

The design concept consists of separate contemporary homes connected by a massive staircase at the centre of the layout.
The fluid space is made of clever perspective views, a central green patio and a sophisticated lighting system, realised in partnership with Flos and Artemide.
During Milan Design Week, Molteni&C has showed his new outstanding collection for 2017, that included the Welcome Collection, consisting of a series of prestigious pieces of furnitures, such as small tables designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, two new reissues of Gio Ponti designs realised in partnership with the Gio Ponti Archives and a new storage unit designed by Ron Gilad.
Van Duysen tried to combine a Northern European background with Mediterranean nuances and a genuine passion for Italy. “Calling on a palette of glass, oxidized wood, and raw metal, the flagship’s atmosphere evokes the feeling of Italian craftsmanship and timeless, sustainable luxury,” he declaired.
In the store visitors will experience a journey through light and shadow, subtle tones and bright accents, minimalist form and the warmth of the home.
The idea of hospitality and familiarity clearly emerges in Dada kitchens, composed by a VVD kitchen island designed by Van Duyse, with its characteristic railway steel doors, its Gré stone top, its Pivot columns and Bright extra clear tempered glass wall unit.
Get yourself inspired by this fantastic project of interior design. A trip to Milan is warmly recommended!
