Summer school has started with Maison et Objet‘s incredible webinars… Never has the art of living and working been so much at the heart of attention and questions, so the international design event was able to come up with the ultimate dynamic virtual experience in order to (continue) to provide the best inspirations for the world’s design lovers!

Founded in 2006 by Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto, all of Studiopepe‘s design projects have a peculiar manifestation: a uniting poetic vision and rigorous design. There is a story behind every one of their designs that makes that product or project quite unique. As the famous Italian designers said on Maison et Objet‘s first webinars, all of their designing processes begin with detail or an idea that they saw in one of their famous adventures.

From that point, Chiara and Arianna not only investigate a specific age of history but also debate some of their favorite details. The next step is to develop something that blurs the boundaries of the real and imaginary world. According to the Italian interiors designers at Maison et Objet’s summer class, their work has became recognized mainly from their famous design projects also known as the “Manifesto”. These unique ideas were usually presented at the international design event, Salone Del Mobile Milano.

From their three Manifesto projects, the Studiopepe‘s founders revealed at the Maison et Objet‘s webinar, that “Les Arcanistes”, a unique exhibition that was inspired by the concept of alchemy, which combines the celebration of the materials with the sensorial experience. This kind of design project is mainly focused in unique interior design combinations and details that when combined create a great storytelling moment.

The Arcanists by Studiopepe was the last Manifesto project presented at the international Salone del Mobile Milano. The Italian designers said at the Maison et Objet‘s webinar that the goal of this design was to connect the dots between matter, symbolism, and the arcane. Just like their other manifesto projects, these unique ideas were also a celebration of the Italian design culture.

Chiara and Arianna talked proudly about their Italian heritage because they think that the country’s design industry truly shows the power of fine craftsmanship techniques. All of Studiopepe’s projects must enhanced the beautiful Italian handmade stamp!

When it comes to the hospitality and commercial design world, Studiopepe reveled at Maison et Objet’s webinar that there are two main concepts in the foundation of their ideas: the experience and the feeling of being in a place that makes you feel like home. For a hospitality design to be truly successful it is important that the guest has a unique experience (in terms of the hotel’s team performance) in a home-like environment that makes him or her comfortable, inspired, and happy (of course).

Studiopepe’s Chiara and Arianna also revealed at Maison et Objet online class that one of their favorite challenges to do was a little coffee shop in the city of Milan, called Cafezall. Featuring bespoke furniture designed on soft forms, the interior design of this small space is a post-modern urban environment with a stylish color palette.

Although the commercial and hospitality world is something that the Studiopepe‘s designers would like to work in the future, Chiara and Arianna also affirmed at Maison et Objet’s webinar that they are receiving more residential projects proposals that they weren’t expecting. Thanks to the quarantine reality, people are starting to realize that their homes don’t necessarily have to have one purpose, so they are investing in elevating their home designs with style, versatility, and functionality.

Studiopepe‘s founders enhanced at the Maison et Objet‘s session that the secret for a successful home working routine is on having different settings that make move from one place to another like you were at the office. The different home areas must have different functionalities and all of the interior design elements must adjust to that reality. That is why their incredible furniture pieces are quite versatile since they can be used in different ambiances with different purposes.

Currently, Studiopepe is developing a brand new collection with the mid-century modern brand, Essential Home. With a unique selection of fabrics and materials, the designers’ main goal was to enhance the beautiful craftsmanship techniques that made them fall in love with Portugal. Highlighting the beauty of the mid-century modern style, one thing is for sure… The world is going to fall in love with this unique collection with the renowned European brand, Essential Home.
