The incredible London Design Festival event is back with the best news and trends from the world’s top luxury brands. Despite the world’s actual crises, this incredible event managed to come up with the best solutions so that any interior design enthusiast can attend this incredible event!
London Design Festival was one of the biggest design events every year, alongside Maison et Objet or iSaloni, but times have changed and we’re looking for better solutions to move everything digitally, while times are still tough. This design festival has done it perfectly so far! Starting 12th of September until the 20th, this 18th edition will be unlike any other. This year, we’re celebrating and promoting London as design capital of the world virtually, with digital talks, workshops and keynotes you will love!
When the Festival first launched back in 2003, co-founders Sir John Sorrell CBE and Ben Evans CBE wanted to celebrate design in London, showing design aficionados that the city was one of the big centers of design. The vision hasn’t changed over the years, and this year, despite the event going digital, that vision seems more important, to put a spotlight on London and its design brilliance.

Every day you’ll find a schedule online with every event, workshop or talk that you must attend in this incredible design festival. London Design Festival 2020 presents you with virtual tours, forums to discuss design, design awards to congratulate the best minds and talent in the London design scene, and others.
2020 Landmark Projects

The Hothouse by Studio Weave, which is a London-based architecture practice is considered to be one of the London Design Festival‘s most important projects. Supported by Lendlease and LCR, this is a large-scale Victorian glasshouse that will provide a controlled habitat for cultivating plants that would not ordinarily grow within the UK’s climate. What a great design project that combines excellent design with environmentally friendly ideas!
Designers Connect

This project during London Design Festival allows 9 designers to come together to create a table and seating, which will suit their new ways of working from and living at home. They will also record their creative journeys to allow us to witness how they approach the brief and develop their thoughts, sketches and ideas during these challenging times. These nine exciting solutions will all be displayed together virtually, and then exhibited at the Design Museum in Autumn, celebrating the act of coming back together.
Freelancer Portal

This year, the London Design Festival also wants to put the spotlight on the brilliance of London’s design scene at a time when it needs to be promoted more than ever. So, this unique initiative has the goal to recognize the talent of the best freelancers and support this community by providing a voice to new talent. It is through this inspiring portal that the interior design freelancers will get the opportunity to share design content and their portfolio with the Festival audience.
Great Collections Exhibition by Top Brands

Besides all of the great initiatives that the London Design Festival team has planned to inspire the world’s incredible lovers, the incredible event is going to feature (like in the past few editions) some of the most inspiring new collections /products exhibitions by the top luxury brands, such as Arteries, Cassina, Anthropologie, among others.
