Daniel Romualdez, an architect and interior designer from New York, with a style of very sophisticated designs, was unveiled by Architectural Digest US for the AD 100 List 2017, which features the best interior designers of the year.

The most important interior designers argue that form follows the function, stating that “no matter how beautiful a home is, if it is not comfortable it will not succeed.” Known for its elegant style and modern touches, the work of Daniel Romualdez radiates grace, luxury and elegance. One of the artist’s most important projects is a residential complex in the West Indies, “upgraded with modern conveniences while maintaining and enhancing its historical character.” In addition, a carriage house in Paris that has a “harmonious tension of the old and new,” the perfect blend of styles that keeps things balanced.

The preferred city of Romualdez is Manila and the main influences for the studio are the works of artists like Louis Kahn, Tadao Ando, Billy Baldwin. The design inspiration, of course, comes from traveling and, surprisingly, from books. As he says, “being away from home stimulates my creativity and reading inspires me more than looking at photographs.”
