Let’s take a look at the final full list of Oscars Winners 2020 that have stolen hearts in the Hollywood scene!
This year’s Oscars went down in history, no doubt! If you haven’t checked out all the winners and highlights of Hollywood’s most important night, then let us show you! These are the Oscars winners 2020 that stole hearts all over the world!
Best Dressed On The Red Carpet
For our personal favorite Best Dressed on the Red Carpet, Natalie Portman takes the Oscar! In a year where there were 0 women nominees for Best Director, Natalie Portman arrives to the Red Carpet in a beautiful black-and-gold embroidered dress designed by Dior with a black cape over it, also designed by the luxury fashion brand.
The most interesting detail was the names of female directors embroidered on the cape, honoring the women who were forgotten for the category this year. Lorene Scafaria (“Hustlers”), Lulu Wang (“The Farewell”), Greta Gerwig (“Little Women”), Mati Diop (“Atlantics”), Marianne Heller (“A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood”), Melina Matsoukas (“Queen & Slim”), Alma Har’el (“Honey Boy”) and Céline Sciamma (“Portrait of a Lady on Fire”) were the names on the cape.
Drum roll, please! Joaquin Phoenix won Best Actor for his outstanding performance in the movie, Joker, one of the viewer’s favorite movies of 2019. In his Oscar winning speech, he released his thoughts about an ever growing society that fights against a common enemy: injustice. He also talked about the relevance of respecting nature and all it provides us, providing us with a lengthy and emotional speech that touched our hearts.
Best Actor In A Supporting Role
This wasn’t really much of a surprise, considering Brad Pitt‘s incredible performance in the role of a stuntman in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, but we were still very excited to see him walk up to the stage and give a speech about his family life, working alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, and his political views.
Leading actress in the movie Judy, honoring the beautiful and talented Judy Garland, Renée Zellweger takes home the Oscar for Best Actress, her first Oscar win, although well-deserved! During her speech, she talks about the importance of our heroes, celebrating and honoring their legacy.
Best Actress In A Supporting Role
The incredibly talented Laura Dern takes home the Oscar for Best Actress In A Supporting Role, her first win, for her performance in the extraordinary movie, Marriage Story. She had also taken home the Golden Globe in 2020 for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, for the same performance.
Best Director went to the amazing Bong Joon-ho for his movie Parasite, a South Korean drama like never seen before. During his acceptance speech, he shouted out Martin Scorsese, explaining how the director’s movies played a huge part in shaping his career.
The entire cast of Parasite took the stage to take the Oscar for Best Picture, surprising everyone in the audience! However, it was well-deserved for the South Korean movie, director and cast, stole everyone’s hearts with an amazing piece of art. At the same time, it made history as the first movie in a non-English language to win the movie industry’s highest honor.
It was definitely a night to remember!
