BLOX
The official opening of this glorious building is in May 2018, so that is something what to see in Copenhagen if you are a lover of art. BLOX will be a massive building – housing a range of creative and cultural institutions on Copenhagen’sharborr front – including the exhibitions of Danish Architecture Centre.
The Maritime Museum of Denmark
Opened in 2013, the Danish Maritime Museum is a one-of-a-kind submerged building designed by Bjarke Ingels and already have won a host of awards! Here you will meet a colorful world of exhibitions telling the story of Denmark. Also, the museum shop ‘M/ S Cargo’ is also worth a visit. Here you can buy interior design, arts, books, jewelry, scents and beauty products, toys and fashion.
Copenhagen Opera House
The main stage of the opera seats an audience of 1400, where you can see the most amazing performances. The Opera House is clad with southern German Jura Gelb limestone, and the foyer features Sicilian Perlatino marble. Nevertheless, the ceiling in the main auditorium is adorned with 105,000 sheets of 24-carat gold leaf, what is equivalent to 1.5 kilos of gold. Copenhagen architecture never stops us surprising!
The Wave (Bølgen)
The exclusive 9-storey residential building is situated in a magnificent location at Skyttehusbugten by the shores of the Vejle Inlet. It is a great example of Danish design.
Ordrupgaard by Zaha Hadid
Ordrupgaard was originally built as a luxurious private residence with an adjoining art studio. Fortunately, it turned into a modern art museum with a dramatic extensive jutting out into the forest, designed by Iraqi-British architect, Dame Zaha Hadid.
Musikkens Hus
The construction of Musikkens Hus is one of the most ambitious and impressive buildings in a city called Aalborg. The house is ready to welcome all people with a music and cultural interest – locals as well as visitors, for the best performances to see. And to say ‘WOW’ for this Danish architecture.
ARoS Art Museum
ARoS Art Museum is a cultural hub in the dynamic city – Aarhus. You can easily recognize ARoS on Aarhus’ skyline, due to the stunning installation on its roof – rainbow Panorama, created by the artist Olafur Eliasson. So you can take a walk through Rainbow Panorama for unique views of Aarhus.
