Scottish designer Nick Ross, was responsible for designing Darkly Mirror, a piece that explores the relationship between humanity and reflections. This wall mirror takes the form of ceramic bowls due to the designers’ fascination with the inconclusiveness of what the first mirrors looked like – “This adds mystery to the object. Is it a new object or an old one, or reinvented? I wanted to take this notion and create a modern object that interrogated its possible past and its relation to the “I””.

The idea of this amazing Tailor Sofa by the Portuguese artist Rui Alves comes from the memories of the creator of his favorite department stores. The intention of Alves was to make an authentic piece leaving nothing to be unveiled – “I wanted to show everything, the structure, the beautiful oak wood. Nothing would be hidden, as is normally done in the sofa design. The sofa is meant to be seen from all sides”.

Representing the boundaries between minimalist sculpture and practical objects, the Socket occasional lamp was designed by the Danish studio Norm Architects. Geometric jewelry was the main source of inspiration behind this unique lamp that is best characterized by a heavy brass casting lamp. The designers also explain that “in our work we aim at geometrical purity, we want to arrive at the maximum expressivity with the minimum of expression. It’s not about designing fewer products. They are soft and refined shapes that invite you to touch them. “In addition, this innovative piece has been designed to fit any type of desk, shelf or corner”.
