The famous stars Kim Kardashian and Kanye West made an inside tour of their amazing minimalist home design in Los Angels!
Today we will inspire you with incredible home decoration, based on the principles of minimalist decoration. The house we are going to get inside today is from one of the most inspired couples of this generation: the West family.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West transformed a California suburban property into a supernatural oasis of purity and light. They both found the house while strolling through the neighborhood, and although Kim Kardashian didn’t know Kanye’s decorating style, the couple immediately recognized that the luxury house was extravagant and possibly a good investment.
“I didn’t really know Kanye’s style at that point, but I thought the house was perfection. Kanye was less enthusiastic. He said, ‘It’s workable.”Kim Kardashian
Almost seven years later, the couple transformed this luxury property into one of the most fascinating and unusual pieces of architecture on the planet. Kanye West cheerfully describes the house as a story of intense passion for architectural design. The minimalist and metamorphic design transformed the house into an iconic architectural design piece.
The couple’s peregrinations through the international design world eventually put them in the path of the illustrious Belgian designer: Axel Vervoordt, whom Kanye West met at antiques fairs and exhibitions in Maastricht and Venice.
“Kanye and Kim wanted something totally new. (…) We changed the house by purifying it, and we kept pushing to make it purer and purer” – Vervoordt said.
These high ambitions to transform the home space into a place full of purity were the main reasons for the coating with whitish plaster all parts of the house and use of extremely pale natural materials.
“The one thing Kanye and I had in common was our preference for a neutral palette. I love the simplicity of the design. Everything in the outside world is so chaotic. I like to come into a place and immediately feel the calmness,” – Kim Kardashian revealed.
The white palette predominates due to the high ceiling design and lack of furniture – in some places of the house we can see none. Another corner that draws attention is the kitchen in white and stainless steel. For that minimalistic result, Kanye West collaborated with Axel Vervoordt.
The interiors, described by Kim Kardashian as a “minimal style“, are predominantly decorated with a pale palette. Although Kanye describes the house as “90 percent Axel,” several other prominent designers lent their talents to the proceedings. Minimalist architect Claudio Silvestrin, for example, continues to collaborate with him on ambitious building projects.
