Bharat Indian Restaurant – Khobar, Saudi Arabia
The palette for this project took inspiration from the cuisine: turmeric, deep mustard and red chili. We wanted to give the space a garden feel and achieved this in a number of ways. As well as widespread incorporation of natural plants, we worked with the existing skeleton of the building, which has a tented roof structure. We used water features throughout, cleverly built into the interior architecture of the space, making them part of the fabric rather than an obtrusive object.
