In 2017, Germany and Portugal will make their debut on the route of Vogue Café, joining the other addresses: Dubai, Kiev, Moscow, Bangkok and Doha.
The entrance of Condé Nast International Restaurants group in Europe will be in the German capital, Berlin, and in second place Porto, the Portuguese city was chosen for being a “full of charm destination”.
It is in the center of Porto which will be the new Vogue Café, specifically at the Hotel Infante Sagres, in the Plaza of Filipa de Lancastre, next to Ceuta tunnel. “It is the second largest city in Portugal, recognized as World Heritage by UNESCO, as well as a design destination, epicurean, full of charm,” explains Gary Robinson, director of Condé Nast International Restaurants in a statement.
For the opening, Condé Nast joined the group The Fladgate Partnership, linked to the Port wine and owner of five-star hotel where the Vogue café will open. In the same statement, Adrian Bridge, CEO of Fladgate Partnership, said that the new bar and restaurant “will offer a sophisticated place with quality cuisine, casual dining and a wide range of cocktails with Port wine.”
More does not say about the food, but promises that the interior of the hotel, which dates from 1951 and which is being renovated, will be decorated with “iconic images of Vogue, ensuring that the cafe will become one of the most exciting places of the city to eat and visit. ”
According to the magazine, in addition to Vogue, also other publications of Condé Nast International Group have their own spaces like bars of GQ in Dubai and Almaty, the largest city of Kazakhstan. In June this year, a Vogue Café pop-up opened in London, during the celebrations of 100 years of British magazine.
