Christian Louboutin enters cheerfully into the living room barefoot, the concentrated expression of his face changes to an ironic one, and he begins the story without any superfluous forewords. The designer does not like wasting time.

“I had no idea how I wanted to see this place,” he continues, “so my friends helped me out: Pierre Pasbon, who owns the gallery next door, and the decorator Jacques Grange.”
Grange is a professional, and for him only three things were important: whether Christian is going to party here, whether he needs a guest room and how neat he is. After such an express survey, the layout of the future apartment was born. A third of the space became a personal zone. In the bedroom, dressing room and bathroom the owner can behave as you like: throw things away and do not be shy that someone will see it. In the living room, where visitors are not uncommon, he must maintain an ideal order.

In addition, Loubouten had a guest bed, which was placed in his office, so that you will not really break up. “It’s not that I do not like being friends,” the host excuses, “but that I prefer to settle them somewhere else so that they do not feel constrained by the order of my home. And one night can be spent in the office. ”

Before becoming a fashionable apartment, this space served as an ordinary attic, so everything had to be done from scratch: to cut through windows, to coat floors, to erect partitions. In the slopes of the roof, we decided to cut out additional triangular holes. These are often found in traditional Parisian houses and serve as ventilation.
But Christian has these “prisms” as an additional source of light. When the rays of the sun penetrate through them, a real light show begins in the room. “I wanted to make other windows oval in shape, like in Versailles. I’m not a pedant, but I forced the frame to be remade three times. The first option was designed on a computer. When I looked at the layout, I realized that it irritates me with not very smooth transitions. The second attempt also failed. And then there was a master who made the frames of the ideal shape by hand, “- says Louboutin.
It should be noted that such a meticulousness is inherent in the designer and in the work. Sketching sketches for the first models of shoes, Christian fell behind the scenes of music halls, remembering that the dancers are getting up on high heels. And all in order to make the shoe more convenient.
As for the situation, here we can trace the designer’s passion for spontaneous purchases. All that is in the apartment, brought from different parts of the world.
So, the stone mosaic, which was laid out the floor in the dining room, was bought in Damascus, the carved doors of the living room – in Morocco, the rest of the things – from flea markets and auctions (Louboutin – a lucky possessor of several interior items from the collection of Yves Saint Laurent): “Wherever I am neither was, always find time to look at the flea market or fair. If this does not work out – life failed. ”
Judging by this apartment, the life of Christian Louboutin has succeeded one hundred percent.
