A socially distant, but more intimate Design Miami will take place at the Moore Building in Miami Design District, from November 27 to December 6. If you wish to know more about this design event and how it will take place amidst the current events, then read more below!

If you’re thinking about the safety and health protocols, everything is ensured: Design Miami will implement a mandatory mask policy, temperature checks on arrival, a contactless entry process and timed entries, where tickets have to be purchased in advance. The theme of the fair will be America (s) and the main goal is to understand America and identify it “through the juxtaposition of important works of design and craftsmanship”, Shanghai-based Chicago director of curator Aric Chen. On this year’s edition of the design event, Podium will be launched that will allow both galleries and individual designers to exhibit.
It’s very difficult to make a list of must-sees, but there are definitely some contemporary works we’re looking forward to checking!
This year, the fair collaborations include a rooftop lounge design by “Takashi Murakami for Perrier, the Curiosity Cloud installation by Austrian design firm mischer’traxler for Perrier-Jouët, and a concept design by the Nigerian architect and designer Tosin Oshinowo and Anglo-Ghanaian textile designer Chrissa Amuah for Lexus.”, UK Time News.
Plus, over 19 digital lectures will be hosted on the Design Miami website, including “Reconstructions: Architecture and Blackness in America” by the Museum of Modern Art and “Makers and Shakers,” a three-part series produced by Shaker Museum.
