If you have never been to Lebanon, now might be your chance to go and enjoy a nice meal in what is probably one of the loveliest restaurants we have ever seen. Kaléo is an eccentric restaurant managed by Found’d Group in the heart of Lebanon’s capital: Beirut. Boasting a cheery vibe that will make anyone feel on cloud nine, the true star of this restaurant is the collection of mid-century furniture chosen by the local design studio david/nicolas.
Now let’s step inside and fall in love with this dreamy restaurant interior design…

Following Beirut’s quick downtown development, this colorful restaurant in a new building not far from the waterfront and the city’s historic center has come to shake things up and take Lebanon’s capital to the next level! Belonging to Found’d Group, which started as a skateboard startup in 1979 and today owns seven restaurants, a boutique, and a wine bar & tapas joint, Kaléo is the group’s pride. Let’s see why!
A pale pink, almost salmon-like color and blue are the main colors chosen for the restaurant decor. They were then accentuated by the green mid-century chairs and several white details, which come to create a well-balanced interior that creatively packs a lot of information in what is a fairly small place.
EDITOR’S CHOICE
Collins dining chair is designed with a classic retro chic feel and comes finely upholstered in velvet. If you choose a different color, you’ll get the exact same feeling as in Kaléo!
Textures are also a key element in the whole decor. The velvety chairs and booths, as well as the “pop-corn” finish on the walls, add variety and a fun twist to the interior design whilst creating an interesting zig-zag pattern.
The mid-century bar stools feature a zig zag pattern on the back, which adds to the fun feeling you can feel throughout the restaurant. All the patterns inside the restaurant are inspired by the old churches of Byblos, while they also seem to reference the nearby 12th-century architecture of the Al Omari Mosque.
EDITOR’S CHOICE
Collins is a crescent open back bar chair designed with sleek mid-century modern lines, very similar to the ones used in Kaléo.
And even the elements that appear unrelated at first glance soon reveal that they are connected, such as the elegant four-meter-long chandelier over the bar or the oversized chandelier over the table you can see in the photo above. The design duo thought about everything when they were creating an organized chaos.
