With only two days left of Salone del Mobile, it is time we take a tour around Essential Home’s stand, and get to know the team behind the magic…
Four days in, and Salone del Mobile still has a lot to offer. We have given you a glimpse of some of our favorite moments of the first day and what we were expecting until the end of this incredible Italian furniture fair. Now that we have had the time to soak it all in, it is time we talk about our favorite exhibitor of Salone del Mobile 2018: Essential Home!

Inviting you for a journey through mid-century design, Essential Home as partnered up with DelightFULL to show you the best of the mid 1950s and 60s. Two brands, one inspiration: the glamorous times of the 1950s when Hollywood was at its best and jazz clubs were the place to be found on Saturday nights!
This year, Essential Home went with two main areas at their stand. When you walk in, you will find a greeting area with two small bar tables on the sides, and the main bar counter where the daily 4.30 pm cocktails are held. Behind the counter there is a smaller area that showcases Essential Home’s own private lounge area, with a comfortable sofa, a nice fireplace, and an amazing background soundscore played by a typical 1960s vinyl player!
Monocles sideboard was of course put on display, and it has been definitely one of the showstoppers of the whole four days so far! The amazing dark wooden body contrasts with the gold plated brass doors to create a nostalgic feeling that takes us back to a Palm Springs hotel in 1955 in a heartbeat!
Garbo dining chair is one of the new pieces Essential Home came to unveil at Salone del Mobile. The mid-century inspired chair boasts four wooden tapered legs with polished brass feet and a velvet upholstered seat. The back, Garbo’s most distinctive feature, is handmade in brass and creates a comfortable support for the back.
Florence center table is Essential Home’s two new addition to the Florence family! With a full diameter of 150cm, Florence center table features a custom Estremoz marble top. The blue velvet upholstered body creates a rich contrast with the polished brass base, enhancing the juxtaposition of the two vibrant materials.
