Paris Fashion Week: What to Expect

Paris Fashion Week is a series of designer presentations, held in Paris (France), with spring/summer and autumn/winter events each year. It marks the end of the bi-annual fashionable festivities. The press and fashion influences of the world come for the shows, to give a glimpse into what everybody will be wearing next season.

This season, Paris Fashion Week runs from Tuesday, 28th February, until Wednesday, 8th March.

Paris Fashion Week 2017 Schedule

Of the first day of the event, Saint Laurent, unexpectedly brought back the disco dress and glitter boots.

On the second day, Maison Margiela, presented its deconstructed and reconstructed wardrobe, including a trench coat with a cutout of the Statue of Liberty crown in the back.

Yesterday, one of the major shows of the day, was when Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid walked the runaway for Balmain. The Portuguese model, Sara Sampaio, were also on the lineup. The models wore thick eyeliner, with a few braids at the top of their heads and the hair pulled back into long straight ponytails.

Today, there are names like Loewe, Christian Dior and Vanessa Seward. If you’re not going to the show, make sure you don’t miss the Dior Ready-To-Wear Collection Live Stream.

For the rest of the week, we will continue seeing big names, such as Céline Valentino, John Galliano and Givenchy on Monday, Hermès and Alexander McQueen on Tuesday. On the last day, Paris Fashion Week will end with Chanel, Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton.
