Let’s recap all the best moments of 100% Design September, in case you weren’t able to attend the London trade show!
Unfortunately, 100% Design 2017 has finished. This unique event kicked off this Saturday and has gathered designs lovers from all over the world, and of course, this allows us to say it was a huge success! London has never been happier. Today we are going to show you all the highlights of this amazing trade show in case you were not at the capital of design during London Design Festival.
BACK TO THE 1ST DAY: WHY 100% DESIGN SEPTEMBER IS THE FURNITURE FAIR TO BE THIS WEEK!
The 23rd edition of 100% Design has opened with a bang and Olympia has rocked as trade professionals and press flood through the doors.
This year’s theme was “Elements” and the interior design show celebrated all the parts that contribute to the success of a product, from the design basics to the components, from the materials to the development processes.
There were five sections: Interiors, Workplace, Kitchens & Bathrooms, Design & Build and Emerging Brands. For the first time, the event hosted Dealer Day, a professional programme of meetings, seminars, and talks.
Our Favorite Stand
Our favorite moments were spent at DelightFULL’ and Essential Home’s stand that had the most astonishing mid-century vibe, where you had the opportunity to enter into a whole new mid-century world. The stand displayed all the brand’s newest pieces that looked dazzling.
The Portuguese brands brought plenty of surprises for everyone, showcasing exquisite design furniture and modern interior design references. Monocles has as always captured the attention of all retro lovers and mid-century admires.
100% Design Talks
Our favorite talk was the very first one. The show opened with Michael Young, who appeared in conversation with 100% Design Content Editor Max Fraser. The designer presents his latest design Roxanne, created with Italian furniture brand Gufram. The piece takes inspiration from The Police’s song of the same name, as well as 1970s disco décor.
