The SoHo Design District is a non-profit organization and a partnership between the following member brands: Artemide, Blackbody, BluDot, Cappellini, Cassina, Design Within Reach, Flor, Flou, Fontana Arte, Foscarini, Fritz Hansen, Gandia Blasco, Ingo Maurer, Luceplan, Modular Lighting Instruments, Moroso, Nanimarquina, Poltrona Frau, Stepevi, Studio Anise and Technogym.
These brands have transformed this area into the major shopping locale that it is today. The concentration of top furniture, lighting and home decor stores, as well as other independent design stores, is what attracts architects, designers, design lovers and tourists from all over the world to SoHo.
The SoHo Design District hosts its second annual SoHo Design District Night on May 14, 2016 starting at 6pm in select member showrooms in SoHo. Participating showrooms will highlight their latest products and unique content to invited guests.
Based on the success of the SoHo Design District shuttle service in May 2015, the SoHo Design District (SDD) has partnered with NYCxDESIGN, other design events, organizations, design schools and neighborhoods to expand the program throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn.
This year for the first time, the free NYCxDesign shuttle bus service is expanding to include SDD, ICFF, WantedDesign, Dwell on Design, designjunction, the Seaport District and Pratt Institute running through Manhattan and Brooklyn.
