More than outstanding films and tv series that got the recognition they deserved, the Golden Globes 2018 edition was definitely marked by the TIME’S UP movement, that saw everyone in the same place to fight inequality and safety in their workplace. Hollywood stars dressed in black as a way to contest the wage gap between men and women in the movie industry, as well as to fight for their right to feel safe in their workplace. It was a powerful statement followed by the even more powerful speech by Oprah Winfrey as she stood up to receive her honorary award. But we’ll get there…

TIME’S UP!
If you aren’t yet caught up on everything that has been happening since 2018 started, don’t worry, there is still time to catch up! The Time’s Up movement, that followed #MeToo, is a campaign started by more than 300 actresses, directors, writers, female agents, and entertainment executives that want to contest sexual misconduct in their workplaces, as well as fight for equality and parity across all industries, and inclusion of all women and marginalized people in our society. A few days ago, some of Time’s Up members such as actresses Reese Witherspoon, America Ferrera, and Natalie Portman, asked all the women who would be attending the 75th Golden Globes to wear black in support of the movement. The result? A stunning black mantle that covered the red carpet on Beverly Hilton and swept everyone away!
