Elle Decor A-List 2019 is out and here’s a fun fact: the women outnumber the men! It’s clear that the design’s future is female and in good hands, so we decided to make a tribute to some of the incredible women that we cherish and look up to in the world of design right now. Here’s some of the best names in the Elle Decor A-List 2019!
Having completed a wide range of designs for domestic and international projects, from New York City to Hangzhou, China, including apartments and large residences, private airplanes, and yachts, Alexa Hampton is nothing short of an inspiration to many in the design world and it was certainly a must in this Elle Decor A-List.
Amy Lau has a sensibility in design that is hard to find anywhere else. Warmth, art, color – it all translates into incredible interior design projects that stay in the hearts and minds of many.
Playful and original, that’s how we’d describe this London up-and-comer. Beata Heuman whimsical and unexpected, a breath of fresh air in the design world that brings us amazing projects we can’t help but fall in love with.
Though her studio is located in Spain, Isabella‘s projects are worldwide, spread across United States, France, Japan and even the Dominican Republic. Combining contemporary with traditional decor, she continues to conquer the world of design, and our hearts.
Co-owner and Creative Director of Firmdale Hotels, Kit Kemp is not only an interior designer, but also a textile, homewares, and fragrance designer. Truly a remarkable designer that we cherish and adore.
Kelly Wearstler‘s design is marked by luxury and sophistication, attention to detail and soulful design that can’t be found easily.
“Wearstler’s signature style juxtaposes raw with refined, melds sophistication and spirited spontaneity, and brings together diverse periods of furniture.”
Known for her balanced understanding of design, flawless execution, and technical knowhow that she acquired from her vast experience abroad and inspiration from New York city, it’s no surprise Donatella collaborated with Sasha Bikoff for Milan Design Week. We are certainly obsessed.
