During the next week, Brera Design District will be celebrating its eighth anniversary. Through Milano Design Week 2017, there will be an intensive calendar of events, with several special projects and cultural initiatives.

This year’s inspiring theme is a Bruno Munari quote:
“Designing is a game, playing is design”
Bruno Munari (1907-1998), was an Italian artist who contributed to many fields of the visual arts. Painting, sculpture, cinema, design… and other kind of arts, such as literacy and poetry. He was born in Milan, but spent his childhood and teenage years in Badia Polesine.
His motto is supported by the ambassador Michele De Lucchi, along with Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara di Pinto of Stuiopepe. The latter is expected to present “The Visit” – an unconventional take, on the very concepts of paying visit and displayed within an 19th century apartment’s evocative settings.
Several Italian and international designers, architects, creatives and brands will be involved in the forthcoming edition. The list is huge, and it has names such as Patricia Urquiola, Piero Lissoni, Foscarini, Etro Home, Ka Internationl and Kartell, Appartamento and Casa Lago, Magis, Molteni&C Dada, Valcucine and Veneta Cucine, Wall&Decò, Kasthall and many more.
There are also special projects, including Milano Spaces – a brand new landmark, for design, aiming to offer creatives a unique environment built around the ideas of community and networking.
Lastly, for the music lovers, we suggest 10 Pianos Street – a kermess of live shows, sponsored by Eataly.
