Situated among boutiques and design ateliers of Brera Neighborhood, the BassamFellows Lifestyle Gallery, was introduced during Men’s Fashion Week in Milan, in 2014. It was announced as the first retail space for the American design company headed by Craig Bassam and Scott Fellows.
Ten years ago, the architect Craig Bassam and the creative director Scott Fellows began to draft their vision for a new kind of American Luxury Company. Their goal was to mix the timelessness and attention to details of the modern classics with contemporary design, and blend it with beauty and utility. Fellows said that it was all about “the rationality and clarity of modernism with the warmth and texture of nature.”

This must visit gallery and wasn’t conceived as a conventional retail format. This meticulously curated space started as a Milanese Blacksmith’s workspace and then it was turned into a gallery, to feature furniture pieces and collections of lifestyle products – a mix of BassamFellows furniture designs.
It is included their signature Tractor Stool and the company’s inaugural collection of shows and sunglasses – for both men and women.
As you can see, on the following images, this Lifestyle Gallery has a wonderful marriage of old architecture and modern furnishings, that fit perfectly together.
To celebrate the launch, Craig Bassam has created a kind of the company’s leather topped desk. This beautiful version was constructed entirely of solid walnut with inlaid leather, dyed in Yves Klein’s trademark cobalt-blue.
