With less than three months to prepare for Maison et Objet 2018, all the time in the world doesn’t seem enough. There will be so many new and exciting brands to see, all-time classics we can’t wait to fall in love with again, numerous conferences that we don’t want to miss and, of course, Cecilie Manz’s stand! With so many things to choose from, we have made our top 10 reasons why we literally cannot wait for Maison et Objet 2018 to begin!

1. Cecilie Manz
Cecilie Manz will be awarded ‘Designer of the Year‘ at Maison & Objet 2018, and we are already counting the days to check out her stand and me completely stunned by her Danish furniture pieces. You can know more about the designer here.

Attending Maison et Objet is always a good opportunity to catch up on the classics. From Zaha Hadid to Fendi Casa, Foscarini, and Tom Dixon, Maison & Objet brings all the best designers together. And if this isn’t a good reason to attend Maison & Objet, then probably nothing is…
3. The best of mid-century furniture
If, like us, you are a huge mid-century modern design lover, then don’t miss the opportunity to see it at its best during Maison et Objet! As usual, Essential Home will be attending the furniture fair and it will bring even more inspiration and love for the mid-century design world.
4. All the best lighting solutions
Lighting ideas and solutions is another thing that won’t be missing from January’s edition of Maison et Objet. And to keep the mid-century modern design feeling flowing, DelightFULL will also be exhibiting, showing us all their novelties and lighting up a little bit of our world.
5. It is one of the biggest furniture fairs in the world
If all these amazing reasons have yet to convince you, then this one will surely do! Maison & Objet is one of the biggest interior design trade shows in the world. With 8 halls to discover, if you don’t find what you’re looking for at Maison & Objet, then that means it probably doesn’t exist. 6. 2018’s theme
After this year’s ‘Silence‘ and ‘Comfort Zone‘, 2018’s theme for the trade show is yet to be uncovered. However, Maison & Objet has gotten us used to exciting themes and amazing exhibitions, so we are 100% sure January’s theme will be nothing other than awe-inspiring and we are already excited for it to be announced!
7. New brands take their chance to shine
This year, back in January, there was one baby brandCircu that completely won over our hearts: . It was one of the most unique stands in Hall 7 and it completely blew everyone away, making every kid and parent melt over the high-end and innovative kids’ bedroom furniture pieces they showcased. This year, many more surprises will be unveiled, and we’re counting on getting to know plenty of new and exciting interior design brands!
8. Conferences that no one wants to miss
The Conferences’ area (aka, L’Espace Conferénce) is usually one of the most crowded spots of Maison & Objet. Press members and design lovers all want to know what is hot in the interior design scene, and the Designer of the Year conference is usually one of the most awaited moments of the furniture fair. Make sure to arrive early and don’t miss a single thing!
9. Inspiration is everywhere
One of the best things about Maison & Objet is that you can’t escape feeling inspired. Everywhere you look there is an exciting design or an exciting brand. People are talking about design everywhere in the halls, in the corridors, in the food corner, and the love for home decor is everywhere!
10. Because Paris will always be Paris
Paris is one of those places you keep going back to. Whether it is for vacation, or to attend an amazing event such as Maison & Objet or Paris Design Week, you will never get tired of this magical city. So, if I were you, I’d be prepared to come back next January, because something tells us 2018 will be a huge year for interior design…
