iSaloni 2018 is only some days away, which means that it is time to start planning the trip to\u00a0the leading international design and furnishing event, which will begin on the 17th of April.<\/strong> <\/em><\/h1>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Milan Design Week <\/strong>and 57th Salone del Mobile.Milano<\/em> <\/strong>are about to start. From\u00a0 the 17th to 22nd April<\/strong> the Fiera Milano will be packed with more than 300,000 expected visitors from over 165 different countries, ready to explore the 2,000 exhibitors. A vast array of exhibits that marry quality and creativity, thanks to the hard work, commitment and investment in research of the top companies within the furnishing sector.<\/p>\n

They will be open to trade visitors every day from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm<\/strong>, and also open to the public on the Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n

Taking into account how close the event is, we took the liberty of preparing a small list of the must see\u2019s<\/strong> during the fair, both inside iSaloni<\/strong> and in the city of Milan<\/strong> itself.<\/p>\n

The 57th edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano<\/strong><\/em> will explore the relationship between nature and living with an exhibition-installation designed to trigger ideas about sustainable design in the internal and external parts of the home.<\/p>\n

Visitors will be immersed in nature and experience its changes as they make their way through the four different areas \u2013 Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn \u2013 embellished with familiar and domestic concepts.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, the project provides a new standpoint and a different perspective on tackling the issues of environmental sustainability and climate change with a view to improving our living conditions at home and in cities.<\/p>\n

Exhibition: \u201cFrida Kahlo. Beyond the Myth\u201d<\/h2>\n

The 70 paintings, 40 drawings and 150 photographs on show aim to go \u2018beyond the myth\u2019 of the feminist artist and icon, and includes numerous works never seen before. This is why the city of Milan staged the most important European exhibition ever devoted to the most famous and acclaimed Mexican woman painter.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrida Kahlo. Beyond the myth\u201d intends to overcome the simplistic view of the Mexican artist\u2019s work, derived from the inextricable intertwining of her life and her work, showing that in a serious and thorough analysis of her poetics it is necessary to go beyond the limits of her biography, overcoming the consolidated myth which has been fed by the fashions of the last decades.<\/p>\n

Wes Anderson, best known\u00a0for films like The Royal Tenenbaums and The Grand Budapest Hotel, was invited by Prada to create the main dining space inside its new arts centre, which occupies a converted distillery\u00a0in Largo Isarco, southern Milan.<\/p>\n

Named Bar Luce, the space takes references from famous Milanese landmarks and cafes dotted around the city, particularly those dating back to the 1950s and 60s.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is for real life, and ought to have numerous good spots for eating, drinking, talking, reading, etc,\u201d said Anderson. \u201cWhile I do think it would make a pretty good movie set, I think it would be an even better place to write a movie.
