Kelly Wearstler is certainly one of the most requested professionists of the last 20 years. The New Yorker<\/em>\u00a0once called her \u201cthe presiding grande dame of West Coast interior design\u201d.<\/p>\n

With her\u00a0unique aesthetic and approach to design she has attracted an enviable client base, mostly composed of\u00a0celebrities, film and music industry stars (such as Gwen Stefany,\u00a0Cameron Diaz and Stacey Snider).<\/p>\n

Wearstler\u2019s career in the design industry officially started in 1995, when she opened Kelly Wearstler Interior Design (Kwid, or KWID), her own firm. Since then, its Studio\u00a0has grown from boutique interior design firm to global lifestyle brand.<\/p>\n

Over the past two decades, Wearstler\u2019s protracted reach as a designer has expanded exponentially, realising projects for boutiques, hotels and resorts \u2013 for example the properties owned by Kor Realty Group and the interiors of Avalon, a prestigious hotel in Beverly Hills.<\/p>\n

She has been able to\u00a0revolutionize\u00a0the look, feel and meaning of modern American glamour. Her designs, consisting of a colorful m\u00e9lange of materials, merge important historical reference points with contemporary influences.\u00a0The harmony of masculine and feminine, classic and contemporary, high and low, is integral to the brand\u2019s maverick sense of eclecticism and iconic style.<\/p>\n

Take a look to the majestic interiors of the Hillcrest Residence: this home showcases Werstler\u2019s love for graphic art, vintage lighting and playful surrealism.<\/p>\n
