One of the most interesting proposals at iSaloni has been the Tracing Identity<\/strong><\/em> project, presented by the Italian furniture brand De Castelli. It featured seven female designers from different backgrounds: Alessandra Baldereschi, Nathalie Dewez, Constance Guisset, Francesca Lanzavecchia, Donata Paruccini, Elena Salmistraro, Nika Zupanc.<\/p>\n

Dispelling the myth that metal is cold and connected\u00a0to male nature, De Castelli\u00a0proposed\u00a0a collection of metal furnitures with a strong emotive appeal, realised using handcrafting and technological techniques. Every piece distinguished itself for having\u00a0a\u00a0particular use and a strong volumetric presence.<\/p>\n

Alessandra Baldereschi: Painting<\/p>\n

\"De<\/a><\/p>\n

Visitors of iSaloni will certainly remember Painting, so named because of its chromatic shades created thanks to materials\u2019 oxidation, that are comparable to colors on a painting.<\/p>\n

Nathalie Dewez: Elizabeth<\/p>\n

Elizabeth is a pretty cabinet realised with a thin metal sheet that generates defined shapes. The pliss\u00e9 effect gives a feminine look to this wonderful piece of furniture.<\/p>\n

Francesca Lanzavecchia: Scribble<\/p>\n

\"De<\/a><\/p>\n

Oxidations combined with a minimal drawing originate\u00a0a curious collection of coffee tables, whose\u00a0<\/em>shapes create a sort of dance, with the\u00a0final aim of showing the feminine and elegant soul of metal.<\/p>\n

Constance Guisset: Volte<\/p>\n

\"De<\/a><\/p>\n

Guisset realised\u00a0shelves supported by two smooth lateral wings, that are characterized by peculiar d\u00e9labr\u00e9 copper shades. At the base, a drawer completes the ensemble, generating a masterpiece of interior design.<\/p>\n

Donata Parrucchini: Vomere<\/p>\n

\"De<\/a><\/p>\n

Vomere is a table made of metal, with\u00a0inclined surfaces that enhance the characteristics of De Castelli unique know-how. The sustaining structure is certainly what attracts most the viewer\u2019s attention, for its irregular and asymmetric composition.<\/p>\n

Elena Salmistraro: Polifemo<\/p>\n

\"De<\/a><\/p>\n

Beside Elizabeth, there is another cabinet realised for the Tracing Identity project: Polifemo, a singular piece of furniture composed by a\u00a0<\/em>wood structure and a copper covering embellished by ornamental engravings.<\/p>\n

Nika Zupanc \u2013 Longing Cabinet<\/p>\n

\"De<\/a><\/p>\n

Last but not least, a third eye-catching cabinet composed by different\u00a0<\/em>compartments with a unique and particular finishing, typical of the De Castelli design style.<\/p>\n
