This is the main purpose of the Studios series: Historical Artists, the American multimedia artist Joe Fig Works, measuring up to 82.5 cm wide (if the sculpture that plays Thomas Hart Benton) were produced from the year 2000 being the last one dated 2009.<\/p>\n

The acclaimed paintings, photographs and sculptures \u00a0of Joe Fig can be enjoyed in exhibitions around the world, and are in museums and private collections. Most of the works depict artists in their studios and workshops, at the time of creation or contemplating your workspace.<\/p>\n

Thumbnail representations created by Fig follow a line not glamorous, showing the most difficult part of the work, as can be seen in Pollock thumbnails. The choice of this treatment is not merely stylistic: being an artist, he knows well every day in a studio.<\/p>\n

Who is Joe Fig?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Born in 1968, Joe Fig received both his BFA and MFA from the School of Visual Arts. His body of work encompasses painting, sculpture, photography, and drawing, in which he examines the role of the artist, the\u00a0creative process,\u00a0and the self-made universe of the artist\u2019s studio. Fig\u2019s work has been exhibited internationally at the Bruce Museum (Greenwich, CT), Bass Museum of Art (Miami Beach, FL), Parrish Art Museum (Southampton, NY), Toledo Museum of Art (Toledo, OH), Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (Philadelphia, PA), and New Britain Museum of American Art (New Britain, CT). He is the author of two\u00a0critically acclaimed books\u00a0Inside the Artist\u2019s Studio<\/em>\u00a0(2015) and\u00a0Inside the Painter\u2019s Studio<\/em>\u00a0(2009),\u00a0which\u00a0include his interviews and documentary photographs of today\u2019s leading contemporary artists. Fig\u00a0is represented by Cristin Tierney Gallery in New York. He works and lives in Connecticut\u2019s Farmington River Valley.<\/p>\n
