This minimalistic home project<\/a><\/span><\/strong> designed by Sandra Weingort<\/span><\/strong><\/em> in NYC\u2019s Lower East Side belongs to\u00a0Joaqu\u00edn Moll\u00e1, a client who shared the designer\u2019s serene symbiotic vision for this light-filled project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being a longtime student of Buddhism, Joaqu\u00edn Moll\u00e1, an Argentinian advertising executive, wanted to bring a cultural side to his NYC\u2019s home<\/span><\/strong>.<\/a> He told Sandra Weingort<\/span><\/em><\/strong> that this residential project<\/a><\/span><\/strong> should be identified as a New York pied-\u00e0-Terre that has an affinity for Japanese Modernism, exquisite design<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, and culture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This New York project<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>is a 1,400-square-foot, two-bedroom space on the Lower East Side with extraordinary light and height ceiling. It has the full potential of becoming a cozy dream home<\/span><\/strong> <\/a>for Sandra Weingort\u2019<\/em><\/span><\/strong>s client since it is the perfect place to incorporate the serene the Japanese modernism concept that Joaqu\u00edn wanted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandra Weingort<\/span><\/em><\/strong>\u2018s Argentinian client is a design lover<\/a>,<\/span><\/strong> contemporary art connoisseur, and collector of bespoke furniture designs<\/a>, <\/span><\/strong>three secret passions that you can identify in his new apartment. Besides the unique furniture selection<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and contemporary artwork selection, the interior designer<\/a><\/span><\/strong> also decided to naturally accentuate the rooms\u2019 expansive height by exposing and restoring the existing concrete slab above, yielding much-needed depth, texture, and patina. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the apartment\u2019s innate sense of space and airiness, Sandra Weingort<\/span><\/em><\/strong> decided to go with a Japanese and mid-century furniture<\/a><\/span><\/strong> combination, since both of them were passionate about those types of furnishings. The infusion of mixed wood tones and aged steel underscored a warm intimacy throughout the space. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
