The first London Design Biennale<\/em><\/strong> opened to the public in the British capital. It presents works from 37 countries around the theme \u201cUtopia Design\u201d \u2013 inspired by the fiction work of Thomas More: \u201cUtopia\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Austrian installation comprises suspended lights. When in balance, the lights shine, but when there is movement, the lights go out, reflecting the instability of a utopian state, when subjected to the reality of everyday life.<\/p>\n

In the artistic area of \u200b\u200bSouth Africa at the London Design Biennale, visitors are invited to enter into the jaws of wild animals. The exhibition is the brainchild of award-winning designer Porky Hefer. Other interesting installation is the one from Taiwan, entitled \u201cEatopia\u201d, offers the public a unique culinary experience. The aim is to celebrate the country and the cultural plurality.<\/p>\n

The \u201cMezzing in Lebanon\u201d brings some of the streets of Beirut to the center of London, celebrating the utopia through the day to day of the people of Lebanon.<\/p>\n

The London Design Biennale takes place at Somerset House until 27 September so, don\u2019t miss this chance to see the best of world\u2019s design.<\/p>\n
