The modern Alvorada Palace and its unique facade were the kick-offs that Carlo Donati needed for coming up with the idea of Essential Home‘s Alberto Table. This unique building is the official residence of the President of Brazil and is located in the national capital of Brasília, on a peninsula at the margins of Paranoá Lake. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer and built between 1957 and 1958 in the modernist style, the modern architecture design project is listed as a National Historic Heritage Site.

Completed in 1961, the Palazzo dell Esposizioni Internazionale del Lavoro, better known as Palazzo del Lavoro or Palazzo Nervi, is considered to be one of the most iconic architecture pieces in Italy since it was created by two of the country’s most famous design legends. Located in the Nizza Millefonti district, at the southern gates of the city of Turin, the geometrical inspiration, which you can find in Carlo Donati‘s new lighting piece for Essential Home, truly represents the unique style of the renowned engineer Pier Luigi Nervi and the iconic architects Gio Ponti and Gino Covre.
