It is very difficult to find a rental apartment that would satisfy all the requirements at once. Therefore, alas, most often we are forced to be guided by the most basic: location and price. The rest – shortcomings in the interior and minor problems – have to be corrected, as they say, in place. Today we have for you a few simple tips on how to quickly improve the interior of rented housing and make it more comfortable.
Cases for upholstered furniture
To begin with, try to negotiate with the owner of the apartment to remove all the furniture you do not need. If this is possible, it is good, and if not, then it will be necessary to act on the circumstances. So, for example, all soft furniture can be hidden under the covers. This will save you from the untidy look of shabby upholstery (if it is so) and will let you set the interior the mood that you need.

“Its” flavor
Each house has its own smell. And it is the smell of “someone else’s house” that at first makes you feel discomfort in a rented apartment. To expel it as soon as possible, it is necessary to conduct a thorough general cleaning with generous ventilation. In addition, the upholstery of upholstered furniture is also better to clean, and for the time of ventilation open also a sofa – let it cool. Then you can already fill the housing with your own fragrance – whatever you like. This can be done through incense, aroma lamp, diffuser or aromatic candles. The latter option will also give a sense of comfort and help create a slightly romantic atmosphere.
Paths to help
To buy a carpet for a rented apartment is a bold decision, considering that more or less high-quality carpets are not that cheap, and in the interior of the next housing it may not fit. But if the floors in the apartment are wiped out and lost their appearance, you can cover the “bald” spots on the cover by means of paths – they are cheaper than carpets and are in fashion today. They can be stitched both in the hallway and in any other room – the color would be suitable. Plus, the room from this will become much more comfortable.
Do not refuse the curtains
If you are trying to make the interior of a rented apartment more cozy, do not go on about fashion trends and do not refuse the curtains. Textile decoration of the window, even if unobtrusive and absolutely neutral in design, makes any room cozier.
Defects of walls
If you do not have a sense / desire / opportunity to paste the wallpaper, but there are obvious errors on the existing wall covering, you can hide them by means of photos, pictures or posters. You can just print the image you liked or an inscription and enclose it in a frame – you get a budget, but very impressive and even unique decor for the interior. And nobody will know about the shortcomings in the decoration of the walls.

Tablecloth
If you are confused by the appearance of the existing dining table or you would like to change something in the design of this area, we recommend to lay a tablecloth. Moreover, like curtains, a tablecloth is also needed to make the interior more cozy and residential.
Edit the lighting
If you have moved into an apartment where only one chandelier is designed for each room, you will have to refine the lighting scenario yourself and if possible. No, no one says that you have to remake the wiring. It is enough to think over the arrangement of furniture in the rooms, taking into account the location of the sockets, so that additional lights can be connected. Advice: buy floor lamps and sconces with the most concise design, unless you intend to leave them as a gift to the apartment owner. Perhaps in the design of another housing, these lamps will also be useful to you.
