The 72nd annual Cannes Film Festival is currently being held from 14 to 25 May 2019. The Cannes Festival is an annual film festival held in Cannes, France, which previews new films of all genres, including documentaries, from around the world. For now, we show you the nominees for the Cannes festival film 2019.

The poster of the Festival has already been announced and a tribute is expected to the filmmaker Agnès Varda (1928 – 2019) and the special Palme d’Or delivery to the French actor Alain Delon.
The Nominees for the Palme d’Or:
The film “The Dead Do not Die” – a horror comedy about zombies – will open the ceremony. The film is by director Jim Jarmusch and is starring Bill Murray, Iggy Pop, Selena Gomez, and many other artists.

Pain and Glory is a 2019 Spanish drama film directed and written by Pedro Almodóvar. It stars Antonio Banderas, Asier Etxeandia, Penélope Cruz, Julieta Serrano, and Leonardo Sbaraglia. The film narrates a series of reencounters of Salvador Mallo a film director in his decline.

A Hidden Life is an upcoming historical drama film written and directed by Terrence Malick, starring August Diehl, Valerie Pachner, with Michael Nyqvist and Bruno Ganz in their final performances.
2. Un Certain Regard
Un Certain Regard is a section of the Cannes Film Festival’s official selection. It is run at the salle Debussy, parallel to the competition for the Palm d’Or. This section was introduced in 1978 by Gilles Jacob.

In Chambre 212, Richard and Catherine were in love and got married when they were 20 years old. Years later, Catherine finds herself a lover. Richard discovers the affair and is driven to despair. Catherine takes off, but she doesn’t go far, as she simply crosses the street and holes up in a bedroom in the hotel opposite – room number 212. From that vantage point, she now has a bird’s-eye view of her flat, her husband and her marriage.
