Tom Ford opened up the big show’s league and made a killing come back to the US runways (He was absent in the last editions of NYFW)! Superstar models like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid shined in pink (millennial pink, of course) with 90’s inspired pieces. Midi dresses and tuxedos with demarcated shoulders and tank tops were reference pieces in the show.

Calvin Klein presented a horror-movie-themed collection. Raf Simons, the designer, choose to give their Americana vision a macabre direction with dark and blood colors. The collection that featured form-fitting tailoring, cowboy boots and Western shirts brought to stage some “The Exorcist” vibes, especially because of the soundtrack choices.
Marchesa

Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, the designers, aim to create fairytales in every single runway. This time, they told the story of Aimée Crocker, a 19th-century woman with 5 husbands and a taste for extravagance. The pieces, as habitual for Marchesa, was super feminine and with a romantic touch. Black, pink, lilac and burgundy walked the runway in fancy gowns and cocktail dresses embroidered with pearls and crystals and ornamented with bows and belts.

Let’s agree on one thing: Rihanna is a fashion icon! She is irreverent, has a unique style and an even more unique personality. So, there is no surprise that everything she touches becomes a success. That applies to music but also to fashion and now beauty. In her Fenty Puma collection, we were able to saw motocross, surf and rock climbing blending perfectly to create vibrant pieces that screamed Summer Fun.
Marc Jacobs

NY Fashion Week 2018 ended up in style with Marc Jacobs! Exaggeration and contrast are the words better suited to describe Marc Jacobs collection. With extravagant patterns, vivid colors and juxtaposition, the pieces combined reality with fantasy, sports with couture and simple with intricate. The accessories were kings and queens, with the models rocking turbans and bags in every shape and size.
