Aiming to create a tale where time stops and magic happens David Charette, founder and principal of Britto Charette partner up with CIRCU Magical Furniture in the creation of a place that unlocks kids’ imagination and encourages children to dream and write their own fairytales of adventure, with an incredible luxury kids room!

As an avid traveler, David Charette believes that traveling can serve as a great inspiration for everyone, especially children. He used CIRCU’s products, as well as pieces from the Covet House brand and some of his favorite vendors, to create luxury kids room designs that embody the glamour, magic, and sense of wonder that comprise the travel experience.
This timeless tale starts in a residence in the heart of Montreal, a place where winters are long and cold and daylight hours are few. Wanting to create a space that would be warm and bright all year round, David Charrette created this enchanted project where “light and bright” was central to the overall design.
This tale starts with the de Gournay hand-painted wall covering in a fresh mint color and accented with flying butterflies perfectly complements the butterfly shapes of the KOKET Nymph Wall Lamp and the soft curves and organic shapes of CIRCU Tristen Bed. David Charette loves the Tristen Bed, not only because of its youthful vibe but also for the “ergonomics of the piece and the fact that it’s easy for children to climb in and out of“.
The 22’ ceilings of the bedroom provided a unique opportunity for Britto Charette to use a standout Giraffe Chandelier by Marc Antonio that Jay Britto saw when visiting iSaloni.

This luxury kids room also features a relaxing seating area where the little kids can read their favorite fairytales while seated on the CIRCU Dainty Armchair. Specially created for kids, this delicate armchair brings elegance to the room and a pop of color with its pink velvet shade. And to make this space feel as it is separated from the rest of the sleeping area, David Charette picked Boca Do Lobo Gold Folding Screen.
As a lover of adventure and travel, David Charette wanted to create a special place with an Out of Africa Vibe that will stir a child’s imagination and encourage lifelong travels and adventures.Since camping was a big part of the designer’s childhood he wanted to convey its happy memories by incorporating the Teepee Tent that will allow children to feel like they are camping in the middle of an enchanted forest, without leaving the comfort of their room. This nature-inspired theme is complemented by Fornasetti wall covering from Cole & Son and Filigree Cricket Wall Lamp, clever insect-shaped wall sconces by Boca do Lobo.

Keeping with the adventurous vibe the designer selected the CIRCU NODO Suspension Chair, which is a must in every luxury kids room wince not only brings outdoor fun into the room with an elegant touch but also provides a comfortable place where kids can relax and read their favorite stories.

By designing this luxury kids room David Charette from Britto Charette hoped that his design will serve to encourage children to dream and play and to develop a respect for nature as they embark on their own incredible adventures. Furthermore, because he designed them to be “transitional” bedrooms that can take children from toddler years to adolescence, he hopes parents will see the value in purchasing Circu products and other items that are special and outside the scope of mass-produced children’s designs.
