India Design ID<\/h4>\n

Hosted in Delhi<\/strong> \u2013 that\u2019s cut out to be the next big design center in the world<\/em> -, India Design ID<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a> is the biggest design event in the country. Its main goal is to take both design and architecture-related themes to the masses and make them more accessible to everyone. Every February, thousands of brands get together to celebrate design and engage in though-provoking discussions about product design, urban development, interior design, amongst others.<\/p>\n

Holi Festival<\/h4>\n

Probably the most colorful day in Northern India, Holi Festival<\/strong><\/em><\/span> celebrates the victory of good over evil. Also known as Festival of Colors, Holi\u00a0is celebrated every March, after the first full moon of the month. This year, the celebration falls on March 1st<\/strong><\/em><\/span>, and festivities will last for a whole full day!<\/p>\n

Tulip Festival<\/h4>\n

We have talked about Srinagar in one of our posts<\/span><\/a> before, but now you also get to know that an amazing festival takes place there every year. We are talking about the Tulip Festival! The Tulip Festival in Kashmir<\/strong><\/span> usually lasts 15 days, and celebrates the blooming season of these colorful flowers, painting a breathtaking view over the mountains and Dal lake.<\/p>\n

Diwali<\/h4>\n

Diwali is India\u2019s most important festivals of the year. Also known as Festival of Lights, Diwali \u2013 or Dipawali<\/em> \u2013 this holiday is as important for the Indian culture, as Christmas is to Christians. Diwali brings a different meaning throughout the country<\/strong><\/span>, with northerners<\/em>\u00a0celebrating the story of King Rama\u2019s return to Ayodhya after he defeated Ravana by lighting rows of clay lamps, and southerners<\/em>\u00a0celebrating it as the day that Lord Krishna defeated the demon Narakasura.<\/p>\n

Diwali festival lasts for five days, and it is very common to see the typical Diwali lights<\/strong><\/em><\/span> all over the cities, with people lighting the outside of their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects them against spiritual darkness.<\/p>\n

In 2018, Diwali will fall on November 7th, so don\u2019t miss it!<\/em><\/h6>\n

IIFF<\/h4>\n

Unlike India Design ID, IIFF<\/span><\/a> has its main focus set on furniture. It is literally India\u2019s biggest International Furniture Fair, and it happens in Mumbai every year in November. If you\u2019re a design lover, then this might be worth a visit. You will get to see thousands of worlwide brands, as IIFF will give you the chance to make business in a more relaxed environment that you might be used to in other furniture fairs.<\/p>\n

This year, IIFF will happen between the 22nd and the 24th of November, at\u00a0The Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre, just 15 minutes away from Mumbai Airport!<\/h6>\n
