Maison & Objet will open its doors for another edition tomorrow, the 19th of January, so it is time to recap\u2026<\/h2>\n

This is not the first time we will be telling you all about Maison & Objet. For the past couple of years, we have been attentively following every moment of what is considered to be one of the biggest furniture fairs in Europe, and probably the world. This year, we will be watching Maison et Objet<\/strong><\/em> up close, but before we begin, let\u2019s make a quick recap of what happened in the previous editions.<\/p>\n

Previously recognized Designers of the Year<\/h4>\n

Pierre Charpin<\/h5>\n

Plastic artist, scenographer and interior designer\u00a0Pierre Charpin<\/strong>\u00a0was at M&O for the whole 1st day, with all the attention drawn to the designer during an exciting conference dedicated to praising his incredible work.<\/p>\n

Tristan Auer<\/h5>\n

In September 2017, as\u00a0MAISON<\/span>&OBJET<\/span>\u00a0PARIS<\/span>\u00a0Designer of the Year, Tristan Auer exhibited his\u00a0work on a stand dedicated to him, located in Hall 8.\u00a0The designer wanted to convey the\u00a0French art de vivre<\/em>, having played with scenography to create his stage, combining \u201cuncluttered classicism and sensuous modernism.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

2017\u2019s Themes<\/h4>\n
Silence<\/h5>\n

Silence<\/strong><\/em><\/span> was Maison et Objet 2017 January\u2019s theme, and it boasted an amazing exhibition. We were there to witness it in first-hand, and we believe it will be very difficult to surpass last year\u2019s eye-opening experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike a remedy to the interminable racket of words and images, silence has a calming effect on the hyperactive, garrulous and loud times we live in.<\/em>\u201c<\/p>\n

Comfort Zone<\/h5>\n

Comfort Zone was the last theme before this year\u2019s SHOW-ROOM. After Silence, in January, Comfort Zone was a natural choice and the exhibition focused mainly on the rising importance of seating in an interior.<\/p>\n

\u201cChairs that look just like funny cushions on legs are perfect for relaxing and ultra soft fabrics enhance the sensation of well-being.<\/em>\u201c<\/p>\n
