Maison & Objet 2018 theme<\/strong> was revealed not long ago, and from what we already know, we can already tell it is going to be yet another great edition! Show-Room<\/strong><\/span> will be the concept for the January edition of Maison & Objet, so make sure to take some notes on the following\u2026<\/p>\n

January marks the date when it is Agence NellyRodi\u2019s<\/strong><\/em> turn to design the famous Inspirations Space and the Bookshop-Caf\u00e9 that will encapsulate the concept behind Show-Room. This year\u2019s concept was born from Agence NellyRodi\u2019s consultants\u2019 investigative work on multiple industrial, marketing and societal topics. Not only in the Inspirations Space and the Bookshop-Caf\u00e9, this year\u2019s concept with also be discussed in the context of the lifestyle trends at L\u2019Espace Conf\u00e9rences.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\"At<\/p>\n

Maison & Objet<\/strong><\/span> asked some questions to Vincent Gr\u00e9goire from Agence NellyRodi. One of them was why did they end up choosing this concept and how would they define it. Gr\u00e9goire explained that the financial crisis and the digital revolution have had a huge impact on our behaviors. What happened is that consumers who used to have a passive posture regarding their consumption habits have now found empowerment. Because of the digital age we are living in, consumers have access to all the information they might want, which leads to an easier way of comparing prices, sharing comments and even rating products.<\/p>\n

\"At<\/p>\n

It is the sharing their comments with their communities, revealing themselves, making commitments, and voicing their opinions that Agence NellyRodi\u2019s consultants have come to the concept of\u00a0showroomisation\u00a0trend:\u00a0<\/em>it is no longer the product that makes the consumer, but the consumer that makes the product.<\/p>\n

But what will the Inspirations Space look like?<\/h5>\n

\u201cOf course, I wanted the place to have a dramatic feel, with mirrors, glass display cases, spotlights, but I also wanted it to be interactive, to reflect the new dynamic initiated by social networks,<\/em>\u201d said Vincent Gr\u00e9goire. Reflecting that wish, the space will be highly interactive, a place where \u201cvisitors will be asked to make their own selections and to explain their reasons for making such or such choices<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

We also want to know what is the message behind this SHOW-ROOM exhibition<\/strong><\/span>, to which Vincent Gr\u00e9goire answered wonderfully. The designer told Maison & Objet<\/strong><\/span><\/a> that \u201cthe Inspirations Space is an invitation to question the status quo and take a stand, to overcome ennui<\/em>.\u201d We went on, saying that nowadays customers need a place where they can experience products and share their opinions in a truthful way. He ended, stating that \u201cthe point is no longer to please everyone, but to please one\u2019s community.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n
