Maison & Objet invited designer Philippe Model to make a selection of his favorite pieces, and this is his favorite rug.<\/h2>\n

As you are probably aware, Maison & Objet is two months away and everyone is already running around, trying to get everything ready for the first day of what is considered to be one of the top interior design shows in the world. In preparation for that event, Maison & Objet<\/strong><\/span> invited designer Philippe Model<\/strong><\/span> to choose his favorite pieces, and one of them caught our eye. Today we are talking about Philippe Model\u2019s favorite mid-century rug<\/strong><\/em><\/span>, and we are pretty sure you are going to love it!<\/p>\n

Meet Audrey by Essential Home \u2764\ufe0f<\/h4>\n

Audrey<\/span><\/a> is not just your ordinary mid-century rug<\/strong><\/span>. With a cheerful look, it is a unique approach to mid-century design. Essential Home\u2019s designers went back to the classic color palette and the classic geometric shapes to create a unique round carpet that would be the perfect fit for a mid-century modern living room. Designer Philippe Model<\/strong><\/span> must have thought the same. So, when Maison & Objet<\/span><\/strong> asked him to create a special closed selection of the best furnishing items from the brands that will be exhibiting in the upcoming January, there was no doubt Audrey<\/span><\/a> by Essential Home<\/strong><\/span> had the be one of the items.<\/p>\n

With a color block of some of the most famous mid-century colors,\u00a0Audrey<\/a>\u00a0brings us back the joyful patterns that made the 1950s and 60s.<\/p>\n

Audrey was on display during this September\u2019s edition of Maison et Objet<\/strong><\/em>, and it showed everyone how it can\u00a0be used as a statement piece for a\u00a0mid-century living room<\/strong><\/em>. There are literally thousands of\u00a0interior design ideas<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0we can think of where this\u00a0rug<\/a>\u00a0takes all the credits. You can also use it to create a fun twist with a minimal interior decor and more sober colors in the background.<\/p>\n

Audrey is a low pile rug that features a very mid-century pattern<\/strong><\/em> of colored triangles and other geometrical shapes. It is made using a synthetic fiber called Tencel, and the artisans produce it by using a cut and loop technique. It does sound fancy, right?<\/p>\n

The bright vivid colors mix with the abstract geometric pattern to produce an amazingly rich indoor rug.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
