The Idol Hotel Paris<\/strong><\/em> provides the emotion of a design hotel but with something else: sound and groove.<\/p>\n

Composed by Yann Gasparini, Jazz, Soul and Funk music lover, painted by Julie Gauthron, the funkiest decorator in the Parisian hotel industry, renovated by Elegancia Hotels as well as AD-Tango, and cleverly set to music by Parisian Dj and record dealer Fran\u00e7ois Mazza, the Idol Hotel is a joyful hymn to Black Music from the 60\u2019s to the 80\u2019s.<\/p>\n

The Idol Hotel Paris located on rue d\u2019Edimbourg is near the Grands Magasins district, just a (Rolling) stone\u2019s throw away from the Opera Garnier, the grooviest hotel in the City of Lights celebrates this historically music-oriented neighborhood.<\/p>\n

In the very same street is also located the Conservatoire Municipal de Paris and the Conservatoire National located there for a long time. Therefore, many musical instrument makers have settled down in this street and in its surroundings, where you can find guitars, violins, double basses\u2026 A commemorative plaque even reminds us that famous music critic and eminent expert on Berlioz\u2019s work Adolphe Boschot lived here.<\/p>\n

In the \u201cmusical\u201d lobby, above the piles of vinyl records, the collection of sculptural \u201cClark\u201d suspension lamps by DelightFull<\/a>, made of gold-coated brass, give the trumpet, the trombone and the organ a new function and announce the score about to be played in the hotel.<\/p>\n

A bright neon light sculpted by artist Julie Gauthron and entitled \u201cThe Sound of the Trumpet\u201d illuminates the lounge area.<\/p>\n

A photocall backdrop even enables guests to take a photo in front of a record cover (while wearing one of the wigs) and to post it on Facebook or Instagram, to mimic Austin Powers: \u201cGroovy baby!\u201d<\/p>\n

It is also in this welcoming and vintage room \u2014 with its Jazz club feel \u2014 that a delicious sweet and salty breakfast is served every day from 7:30 to 11:00 am to hotel guests as well as exterior guests.<\/p>\n

The Idol Hotel Paris also features a small patio with honeysuckle and jasmine, which provides the option of having breakfast outside on warm days or simply to enjoy a moment of relaxation in the heart of Paris.<\/p>\n

Lady Soul, Moon Blue, Light My Fire, Jungle Fever and of course, Give me the Night*\u2026 Adorned like the colorful album covers of famous labels Stax Records or Motown, the 32 rooms and suites play a vintage melody without ever settling down in any particular period: a little of the 50\u2019s, a bit of the 70\u2019s, and a touch of the 80\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Glamorous and fresh, the decoration gives in to playfulness and sensuality. All elements are texturized (velvet, vinyl\u2026) and they arise a desire to touch everything, to caress the walls and furniture.<\/p>\n

The decoration designed by Julie Gauthron is melodious: it is as charming as the colorful records you might find on a Sunday morning bargain hunt.<\/p>\n

Funky Suites!<\/p>\n

In the corridors, you will admire the magnificent Coltrane lamps in the shape of a trumpet handle, also designed by DelightFULL.<\/p>\n

My Ch\u00e9rie Amour, Give Me the Night, Blue Sunshine, Jungle Fever and Feeling Good, the 5 suites play the tune of a period when music made everyone dance.<\/p>\n

All of them feature spherical speakers that can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth of the amp set in the small desk.<\/p>\n

Depending on your mood, you may choose the hammam under the roofs with your other half (Feeling Good), or the wonderful luminous bathtub (Blue Sunshine and Give Me The Night), or the fresh and colorful tones that spark an irresistible need to move your body (Jungle Fever) or the harmony of colors going from red to black (My Ch\u00e9rie Amour).<\/p>\n

Yann Gasparini, owner of the Brescia Hotel for almost 15 years, which became the Idol Hotel after the renovation work was completed, was raised to the sound of Jazz.<\/p>\n

Growing up, he developed a passion for all kinds of Black music \u2014 Soul, Funk, Groove, etc. \u2014 and finally made his dream come true by turning his hotel into the new place to be for all Black Music lovers.<\/p>\n

Artist Julie Gauthron works on multiple supports: homes, hotels and shops, and with multiple mediums: drawings, frescos, hard wire, wrought iron and neon lights\u2026<\/p>\n

She was able to combine her artistic soul and talent for design. After the success of the Crayon, decorated like her own home, she renewed the experience by opening the Crayon Rouge in 2014. With the Idol Hotel, she wrote a new song that is definitely groovy! All of her projects have strong backstories that give them a unique identity, as she never takes the easy option; she is constantly looking for new themes to write a special story for each project.<\/p>\n
