We are probably a little bit obsessed with this Paris thing now that Maison & Objet is coming. However, there is a good reason for it! Somewhere in Clichy \u2013 in the 9th arrondissement of Paris \u2013 there is a stunning place that was the subject of a home makeover<\/em> by interior design studio 10surdix<\/a>. The result was an inspiring modern home\u00a0filled with industrial accents and a mid-century sideboard<\/strong><\/em> that you won\u2019t ever forget.<\/p>\n

From the conception of the open plan kitchen\u00a0\u2013 100% custom made \u2013 to the dressings for all the room, 10surdix was responsible for the whole makeover on this Paris apartment. According to the 10surdix team<\/strong>, all the furniture was hand picked by the interior designers to create the right ambiance for the renewed apartment.<\/p>\n

The open plan living is very characteristic of industrial interiors. The more modern and slightly bohemian look was achieved with the use of mid-century furniture pieces such as Essential Home\u2019s Monocles sideboard<\/a> and DelightFULL\u2019s minimalist Clark chandelier<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On the photo above you can see Monocles<\/a> in a little bit more detail and understand how this movie-inspired sideboard makes all the difference in the room. With dark walnut and gold plated brass finishes, this mid-century piece<\/em> can light up a room all by itself.<\/p>\n

Deciding to use an oversized mirror simply placed against the wall is a way to convey a relaxed vibe in such a wide space as this living room. The concrete wall behind the television was given a special touch with the hand painted flowers on the top.<\/p>\n

The canopy between the master bedroom and the corridor was done especially for this sole purpose in the studios\u2019 workshops near Paris. The wall fixtures are also bespoke pieces by the mid-century lighting brand DelightFULL: Brubeck wall sconces<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the master bedroom, you can see the iconic Moooi suspension light Heracleum<\/strong>, which makes any room look immediately cozier and more relaxed, with a lot of class.<\/p>\n

It might not be a project for everyone\u2019s budget, but it certainly is a very successful home makeover. One that will hopefully make you feel inspired to achieve your very best in the next interior design project you get your hands on.<\/p>\n
