The Regent Street store \u2013 Apple's first outpost in Europe when it opened in 2004 \u2013 was closed for a lengthy period while it was revamped according to the company's new interior design format.\" width=\"670\" height=\"116\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegent Street looked quite different when we opened in 2004,\u201d said the company. \u201cApple is respectful of the city\u2019s tremendous culture and history, which we hope you see reflected in the building today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the materials are sympathetic to the historic nature of the building,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<p>The chosen palette of materials include a white terrazzo floor, Castagna stone walls, bronze metal accents and oak timber for the fittings and fixtures. Light boxes extend the length of the ceiling.\u00a0Inside, the store is split into three areas named the Avenue, Boardroom and Forum.\u00a0These areas also feature inside the Foster + Partners-designed San Francisco store, which was intended to serve as a model for future Apple outlets around the world when it opened earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-452 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/essentialhome.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/apple-regent-street-foster-partners-london_dezeen_2364_col_3.jpg\" alt=\"Apple's new store in London has reopened following a major renovation by Foster + Partners that incorporates the tech giant's new approach to retail. The company was recently honoured with a preservation award for sensitively repurposing historic buildings.\u00a0Foster + Partners has overseen the design of several Apple Stores worldwide, including branches in Istanbul and Hangzhou.\u00a0The firm, led by architect Norman Foster, is also working on the vast Apple Campus 2\u00a0in Cupertino.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-458 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/essentialhome.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/1-3.jpg\" alt=\"Apple's new store in London has reopened following a major renovation by Foster + Partners that incorporates the tech giant's new approach to retail.
