\nFriedman Benda<\/em><\/a>\u00a0announced one of the world\u2019s leading design galleries: \u201cdna10\u201d, an exhibition for its 10th anniversary. \u201cdna10\u201d\u00a0aims to look ahead by bringing together projects and exhibitions from the past 10 years.<\/h2>\n

\u201cdna10\u201d\u00a0<\/em>will include work from twenty-one designers and artists\u00a0from the five continents and multiple generations including Ron Arad, Andrea Branzi, Campana Brothers<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, Wendell Castle, Byung Hoon Choi, Paul Cocksedge and many others.<\/p>\n

This\u00a0Friedman Benda<\/strong><\/em>\u2018s exhibition will emphasize one distinct piece from each studio practice and will study\u00a0each designer\u2019s process highlighting their major contributions to contemporary design. Documentation in different forms such as drawings, sketches, videos and models will go along with the work on view.<\/p>\n

The gallery\u00a0<\/a>was founded in 2007 and is located in New York<\/strong><\/em>. It is dedicated to presenting established and emerging designers who create historically significant work and are at the forefront of their practice. The gallery\u2019s exhibitions and publications have played a vital role in the development of education in contemporary design and take a comprehensive approach to work that intersects the fields of design, craft and art.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur first goal is to show how the gallery operates, why we\u2019re relevant, and what we bring to the art world by presenting design. Considering the scope of what we\u2019ve exhibited in the past, such a task is not as straightforward as it may seem.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201d It\u2019s a slightly confusing show in the making. Still, reconciling the different creative identities, backgrounds, directions, chosen processes, aesthetics and forms, the resulting image will be Friedman Benda<\/strong><\/em>\u2018s vision of design, forged over a 10-year period.\u201d<\/p>\n
