Born in Madrid in 1974, Jaime Hayon<\/strong><\/em> is among the most notable interior designers of our time. As a teenager, he submerged himself in skateboard culture and graffiti art; that was only the beginning of its remarkable career in design.<\/p>\n

By that time, he has made progress in leaps and bounds, winning numerous awards, and has been recognized by Wallpaper* Magazine as one of the most influential creators of the last decade, and lauded as a \u201cvisionary\u201d and one of the most creative icons by Times magazine.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is important to remember that my design is made for humans \u2013 to be used by humans. I believe that design should provoke emotions. Design should make you feel good. Create happiness.\u201d\u00a0It is how Hayon presents himself. He transmits his sense of humour in every piece of design he realises, from lounge to dining chairs.<\/p>\n

During these days his work can be appreciated by visitors that are in Milan for the Design week. For this occasion, he presents his last collection \u2013 Stone Age Folk \u2013 designed for Caesarstone, a\u00a0traded company that operates in the manufacture and sale of engineered stone surfaces for kitchen countertops, vanity tops and tiles.<\/p>\n

The installation takes place in the\u00a0historical backdrop of the Palazzo Serbelloni and it is inspired\u00a0from flora, fauna and folklore from different cultures. Tribal masks and Hayon\u2019s signature clown faces are featured on the large-scale wall panels of the pavilion and presented alongside playful carousels made of Caesarstone.<\/p>\n

Dining tables, small coffee tables and cabinets become bird-like characters and animated faces, being protagonists of a collection that will leave visitors wide-mouthed.<\/p>\n
