In its 90 years of history, Cassina<\/em><\/strong> has affirmed the instinct to unite the recent past with the future, through furniture that responds to the present\u2019s wishes. At the same time, it fuels the collective imagination.<\/p>\n

The 2017 collection, exhibited at the renewed Milanese Showroom \u2013 with a project by Patricia Urquiola<\/a> \u2013 also ties in with this aspect of Cassina\u2019s DNA. You can see more about the collection here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Also, the products are connected to projects launched for the brand\u2019s anniversary. The two big names are: the monograph This Will Be the Place<\/em> edited by Felix Burrichter<\/strong> and published by Rizzoli<\/strong>, and the Cassina 9.0 installation<\/em> by Patricia Urquiola<\/strong> at the Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Showroom houses the Floe Insel Sofa<\/em><\/strong>, by Patricia Urquiola<\/strong><\/a>. This dynamic piece has a large asymmetrical volume, that give a strong sense of comfort and it\u2019s completely in tune with the principle of flexible interior.<\/p>\n

Some products in the catalogue broaden the collection\u2019s range with new solutions. Generous dimensions and greater comfort, for the Beam Sofa System by Patricia Urquiola<\/em>; New proportions and details, for the 8 Sofa by Piero Lissoni<\/em>; An extension to the Caprice<\/em> and Passion<\/em> line of chairs, by Philippe Starck<\/em>.<\/p>\n

This Showroom also goes through an evolution. Inaugurated in 1968, with a design by Mario Bellini, over the years the space has been designed by architects like Vico Magistretti (1979), Clino Trini Castelli (1985), Achille Castiglioni (1987\/1994), Giancarlo Tintori (2003) and Piero Lissoni (2012).<\/p>\n

Patricia Urquiola<\/strong> was the art director of the renovation of the store. In addition to rethink the existing space, she also integrated a 110m\u00b2 area in the basement.<\/p>\n
