While promoting the film,\u00a0Wilde praised her location scout\u00a0for securing Richard Neutra\u2019s\u00a0Kaufmann Desert House, the\u00a0Palm Springs\u00a0home<\/strong><\/a> famously captured in Slim Aaron\u2019s \u201cPoolside Gossip\u201d photograph, as a setting for a pivotal party scene. \u201cWhen I was writing\u00a0Don\u2019t Worry Darling<\/em>\u00a0I had a print of \u2018Poolside Gossip\u2019 on my wall and\u2026kind of wrote it as a Kaufmann House\u2013like environment,\u201d Wilde told\u00a0Variety.\u00a0<\/em>\u201cThey\u2019ve never shot a film there so to be there was\u00a0huge<\/em>\u2026[shooting the first scene there] felt like a really auspicious beginning to this movie, which was this love letter not only to film but to architecture, to design, to this era.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its homeowner,\u00a0<\/em>Paul Boschetto, tapped L.A.-based decorator Sheldon Harte to capture the magic of the era inside. \u201cI love history,\u201d Boschetto told us, \u201cand this is such a storied place.\u201d<\/p>\n
