For our personal favorite Best Dressed on the Red Carpet<\/a><\/strong>, Natalie Portman takes the Oscar! In a year where there were 0 women nominees for Best Director,<\/em><\/strong> Natalie Portman<\/em> arrives to the Red Carpet in a beautiful black-and-gold embroidered dress designed by Dior with a black cape over it, also designed by the luxury fashion brand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \"\"<\/a>\n\n\n\n

The most interesting detail was the names of female directors embroidered on the cape<\/strong>, honoring the women who were forgotten for the category this year. Lorene Scafaria (\u201cHustlers\u201d), Lulu Wang (\u201cThe Farewell\u201d), Greta Gerwig (\u201cLittle Women\u201d), Mati Diop (\u201cAtlantics\u201d), Marianne Heller (\u201cA Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood\u201d), Melina Matsoukas (\u201cQueen & Slim\u201d), Alma Har\u2019el (\u201cHoney Boy\u201d) and C\u00e9line Sciamma (\u201cPortrait of a Lady on Fire\u201d) were the names on the cape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his Oscar winning speech, he released his thoughts about an ever growing society that fights against a common enemy: injustice. He also talked about the relevance of respecting nature and all it provides us, providing us with a lengthy and emotional speech that touched our hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This wasn\u2019t really much of a surprise, considering Brad Pitt<\/em><\/strong>\u2018s incredible performance in the role of a stuntman in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood<\/em>, but we were still very excited to see him walk up to the stage and give a speech about his family life, working alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, and his political views. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leading actress in the movie Judy, honoring the beautiful and talented Judy Garland, Ren\u00e9e Zellweger<\/em><\/strong> takes home the Oscar for Best Actress<\/a><\/strong>, her first Oscar win, although well-deserved! During her speech, she talks about the importance of our heroes, celebrating and honoring their legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best Actress In A Supporting Role<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The incredibly talented Laura Dern<\/em><\/strong> takes home the Oscar for Best Actress In A Supporting Role<\/a><\/strong>, her first win, for her performance in the extraordinary movie, Marriage Story. During his acceptance speech, he shouted out Martin Scorsese, explaining how the director\u2019s movies played a huge part in shaping his career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best Picture<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The entire cast of Parasite<\/em><\/strong> took the stage to take the Oscar for Best Picture<\/a><\/strong>, surprising everyone in the audience! However, it was well-deserved for the South Korean movie, director and cast, stole everyone\u2019s hearts with an amazing piece of art. At the same time, it made history as the first movie in a non-English language to win the movie industry\u2019s highest honor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was definitely a night to remember!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
